Overview: The National Managed Care Leadership Directory is available in three formats:

The National Managed Care Leadership Directory is the leading tool for networking, recruitment, research, sales prospecting and more for the managed care industry! What makes the Directory unique is that it covers multiple industry segments related to managed care and not just health plans; reports on a broader range of staff positions; and categorizes each position by standard job functions.

Scope: The Directory has 646 pages with 8,312 executives listed from 1,126 companies, with a varying range of executive and staff positions listed per company. Companies reported include Administrative Organizations, Health Plans, PBMs, Provider Networks or Specialty Organizations. Specialty Organizations include Dental, Vision and Behavioral Health Networks. Administrative Organizations include selected Quality Improvement Organizations, Care Management Organizations, TPAs and Insurance Exchanges. Provider Networks include IPAs, PHOs, CINs and ACOs with commercial managed care arrangements.

Updated Information: Due to continued employee turnover rates, merger and acquisition activities, company closures, identification of new companies, promotions and other market forces, the Directory also reflects extensive changes throughout from the 2018 Directory. 318 of the Companies listed in the 2019 edition had changes and edits made to their previous contact information (company name, address, phone, fax/email, and/or website address); 131 of the 1,126 Companies were new to the Directory for 2019; and 87 of companies previously listed in the 2018 Directory were deleted from the 2019 edition. 567 of 2019 Employee Listings were for new companies listed in the directory, 3,446 were new employees for previously listed companies in 2019, 490 of 2018 Employee Listings had a change in job function with the same employer for 2019, and 3,915 of the 2018 Employee Listings were deleted from their companies for the 2019 Edition, (including 477 from deleted companies.)

Company Description: The information included has been provided by the listed organizations or through MCOL research. Companies from multiple industry segments are included to provide a single source of information on major managed care companies and their respective leaders. Parent Company has been provided for many of the applicable organizations, and all companies have been classified according to the following Company Types: Administrative Organizations, Health Plans, PBMs, Provider Networks or Specialty Organizations. All Companies includes mailing address, phone and website information. Fax or company e-mail addresses are provided for over 6-% of the companies.

Employee Listing: The individuals listed for each organization are executives and key staff, in various functions of the company. 33 functions were identified which apply to many managed care organizations, and employees listed are categorized according to these job functions. In some cases, an individual is listed for two job functions, depending on the nature of their position. Furthermore, some persons are listed in more than one company (under the same parent or affiliated company) when they have responsibilities in more than one subsidiary or affiliate. In addition to the general functional descriptions, the specific titles of executives are listed when provided by their organizations.  Multiple indexes are provided to assist navigation throughout the Directory, including: Company Name Index in alphabetical order nationwide; Company Type Index with all companies by Type, in alphabetical order within each Type; Parent Company Index with Companies with Parent Organizations/ Affiliates listed, in alphabetical order by Parent Company in order of states served within Parent; and Job Function Index listing Companies with applicable Job Functions, in alphabetical order within each Job Function.
